Gangsta: Re-Invented

From the beginning of our journey many people have asked the question, “Why the name Gangsta Goodies Kitchen?” We heard everything from, “Ya’ll ain’t Gangstas to the name is too thuggish and you’re only going to be able to reach thugs & gangbangers with that name.” Naturally, we gave the name a lot of thought as well as the not so positive feedback regarding the name. Our goal is to reach the masses…period. And, as you can see we went with our gut and did not change the name. However, we thought we take this opportunity to share with you how we define the word Gangsta in the Gangsta Goodies Kitchen.

A Gangsta is an individual who stops at NOTHING to achieve his or her goals; a person who is constantly on the grind. A Gangsta works for EVERYTHING, a Gangsta is not of average intelligence…for in most cases a Gangsta has risen above what society has expected based on the environment in which one was raised and or lives.

A Gangsta consistently sharpens his or her craft; always looking for opportunities to grow and develop. You see, a Gangsta could be you, your husband, your wife, your sister, your brother…(I think you get our drift:). A Gangsta is also involved in the community he or she resides; refusing to accept mediocrity as if it’s his or her final destination.

Last but not least, a Gangsta loves and nourishes their offspring, creating a solid foundation for them to evolve into productive citizens of the universe. A Gangsta utilizes their God given gifts, talents, experience and education to not only succeed but, to help elevate the quality of lives for others…with all of this, a Gangsta will need well-balanced meals to keep up at the pace in which they move about in this world…welcome to Gangsta Goodies Kitchen, we hope you enjoy the journey as much as we will!
